I haven't updated here in forever!

Where am I? Same place.
What am I doing? Same stuff.
How is my family? Mom is good. :) Sis is good.:) Dad is slipping a little more. :( Pretty much the same as before.
How is school? The same insanity.

I think I'm in a rut.

But I had a good birthday. :D

Anyone who plays Nintendo video games and likes good deals ought to keep an eye on Amazon.com's Gold Box Lightning Deals, which are available in two-hour blocks today. The one deal that is good for all day, today, is $14 off Super Mash Bros Brawl for the Nintendo Wii -- and while the deal may be good all day, they might still sell out early!

Currently up in the time-sensitive deals is The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS, at $12 off. As a guess, from the cryptic clues, Super Mario Galaxy is going to be next, at 10am PDT, and also today they'll be having Mario Kart (Wii?) and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. All very good, very fun games.

Of course, I could be completely off my rocker and totally wrong about the clues, too. Only way to find out is to watch the website where, regardless of the game, they'll be offered at a substantial discount for only two hours!

Good luck! :D

Cellphones, anyone?

The most interesting person just called, telling me that my phone network (the original AT&T wireless) is being phased out effective February 18th, and I need to purchase a new plan. Not only that, but there are no longer any plans for my small, dependable, sturdy cellphone that gets reception just about anywhere, so I need to purchase a new phone to go with my new plan, and new contract.

We won't get into how there are no longer any plans with AT&T that are as good as my old one (550 anytime, unlimited night/weekend, national, $40/mo). What I'm interested in is what brands, models, and makes of cellular phone that are dependable. Any ideas? I don't need a phone with fancy bells and whistles, just one that gets darned good reception even out at coastlines and in deep valleys, and will survive being dropped hundreds of times, put through the washing machine, and smashed under 60 or so pounds of schoolbooks in the bottom of a backpack on a daily basis. You know, like my current phone. Do they even make phones like that anymore?

Le sigh.
